Getting back to your car after a night at Magic Kingdom

  • The Express Monorail—longest line and wait, with the wait time about as long as, if not longer than, the very last option.

  • The Resort Monorail—right next to the Express, much shorter line but lower frequency. Viable option if you don't mind stopping at the Contemporary on the way (TTC is the second stop).

  • The Ferryboat across the Seven Seas Lagoon—it might seem like a long line, but the much larger capacity of the boats means the line moves much faster. When all three ferries are in service it's a much shorter wait than one may think.

  • Ten-minute walk from Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary Resort where one can board the monorail at the station on the fourth floor. Viable if you don't mind boarding a very cramped monorail car after going through yet another security checkpoint just before the escalator up to the platform.

  • 35- to 40-minute walk around the Seven Seas Lagoon through the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Polynesian Village Resort properties to get to the TTC. 1.8 miles, viable if you've hardly done any walking in the park (showing up for just the fireworks and night parade) and still want to get your daily steps in. (There is no pedestrian option between the Contemporary Resort and TTC.)
